Do I need an account or internet connection?

Yes. An account and internet connection are required for campaign play because your choices are sent to the Crucible Games service to generate and save the next part of your story.

Are there credits, subscriptions, or in-app purchases?

New accounts receive three free narrative turns. After those turns, you can buy consumable credit packs or the optional monthly Historian Pass through Apple. The purchase screen shows the credit amount and estimated decisions before you buy. Purchased credits do not expire.

Does the app use generative AI?

Yes. Crucible Games combines authored historical systems with server-side generative AI. Your current campaign state and decision are processed to generate the next narrative turn. AI output may be fictional, simplified, or inaccurate.

Which historical periods are included?

The French Revolution (1789–1815), the crisis of the Roman Republic (49–27 BC), and Sengoku Japan (1582–1603), each with its own characters, factions, locations, and events.

Is the historical content completely accurate?

Crucible Games is historical fiction created for entertainment. It draws on real people, places, and events, but your alternate-history outcomes and some dramatic details are fictional and should not be treated as educational or factual authority.

Where are my saved games?

Campaign and account records are stored with your Crucible Games account. Some settings and progress are also cached on your device for a responsive experience.

How do I delete my account?

Open Account, choose Delete Account, and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and associated server-side game data. Deleting the app by itself removes local data but does not delete your server account.
