Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the Crucible Games iOS app published by Seldon Strategies LLC. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple's applicable App Store terms.

License and Permitted Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for non-commercial entertainment on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. You may not redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, or misuse the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Accounts and Online Service

An account and internet connection are required for campaign play. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Service availability may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, model-provider outages, or circumstances outside our control.

Free Turns, Credits, and Historian Pass

New accounts receive a limited number of free narrative turns. Continued play may require consumable credits or the optional auto-renewable Historian Pass purchased through Apple. Prices, credit grants, and estimated decisions are shown before purchase. Apple handles billing, renewals, cancellation, and refunds under its terms. Purchased credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are used as narrative turns are generated.

Historical-Fiction Disclaimer

Crucible Games is entertainment, not educational, academic, legal, political, or professional advice. Authored systems and generative AI draw on historical people, places, and events, but alternate outcomes, dialogue, characterization, chronology, and dramatic details may be fictional, simplified, or inaccurate.

Your Choices and Account Data

Your game choices and campaign state are associated with your account and may also be cached locally. You can permanently delete your account from the app. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription or delete server-side account data.

Intellectual Property

The app, software, design, bundled data, artwork, text, trademarks, and other original material are owned by Seldon Strategies or its licensors. Historical facts and public-domain material remain subject to their applicable legal status. You may share ordinary screenshots for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be error-free, compatible with every future device or operating-system version, or historically accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seldon Strategies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from use of the app. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes and Governing Law

We may update the app or these terms. These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Seldon Strategies LLC, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
